Happy New Year!
With each New Year, I peek around my house and try to figure out how I can de-clutter, re-organize and re-decorate. I somehow seem to get real bored with styles and furniture placement real quick. And the clutter gets real old real fast! If you are looking for some new decorating ideas for your home this year, check out this site: Lombok to get some ideas. The store has a fresh and elegant style, yet is simple and not too modern for most homes, and especially homes with small children.
Some of the styles sort of remind me a bit of Pottery Barn or Restoration Hardware here in the US. Here is one of my favorite bedrooms, which they call their Shabby Chic look (click on picture to see more detail)

Of course, the beautiful window and architecture in this room does accent this furniture, but the textured paint on the wall, bed & bedding would look gorgeous in any room. I’d love to get this romantic vintage look in my bedroom and put these romantic windlights or tealight holders beside my bed or even outside on my deck in the summer.
Being the polka dot lover that I am, the other fun item I especially loved was this lamp

I love its stylish grown up charm. Who ever said polka dots had to bold and bright or just for kids?

Their embossed mirrors, which I just adore, would look gorgeous in just about any room as well. I would particularly like to put them in our front entry way.
Because I am not quite the world traveler or the math wiz, I am not sure how much things on this site cost in US dollars, although I am sure it would be easy to google and figure out. I do wish this site had a currency converter and would state which countries they deliver to. The only other drawback I found with LOMBOK is that they have not physically made their way into the US yet. However, the store seems to be making quite a splash in London and other parts of the UK. If you are traveling, make sure you stop by one of their gorgeous stores to give you some inspiration for your own home. If you are not going abroad, simply take a look around their beautiful site to see if anything inspires a new and simpler styler for your home.
